Letting Go!

"Every happiness in this life was started with the intention of making others happy, yet all sorrows in life was created by your self-centeredness.-EGO"

We all live within a borrowed time, nothing is eternal except 'changes' itself...

these days....i've been thinking out loud and acting in vain.
Knocking over anyone that stands in my way.
Sometimes I need to apologize, but sometimes I need to admit that I ain't right.
Sometimes I should just keep my mouth shut, or only say "HELLO" and scram off!
Sometimes I still prefer walking alone.

Friends, Family, Pets, Pest, Lovers, Haters, Douche bags, Dipshits, Baldy, Fellas and all hommies you could ever met in life... i'm LETTING ALL GO!  its a HAND OUT dude!

I'd be so contented to know that id be useful to anyone's life in this society. I may not be super  heroes characters...but i just had this thought that if " They need me, they'd call me."  No hard feelings or maybe no feel attached, I AM LEAVING MY LIFE NEUTRALY! period. no not a menstrual period but just a dot! (.) period! k?! well does that looks like boobs and nipple? well its not ! (.)

Today is not Sunday? its Thursday?! WHOA!

*looking at the date on my phone* To confirm that today is Tuesday,Aug 2,2011.
Im not an early bird, i cant even bear to leave my bed though sometimes the sun is already on my butt. Honestly i,me,myself cant figure out how did i wake up every morning and go to school in the past 14years of my life either! and the big deal today is......................

Today i woke up at7,25which is a big deal to me!! took bath and drive mom to the market!
THE MARKET! which is another BIG deal to me!   well, didn't really enter the wet market,Mom's just asking me along with her to buy some stuffs for her, where usually its only an annual rite for me to accompany her to the market, and thats during CNYs.

but then the best thing of all that makes everything so worth it is... a Ggreeeaaattt Breakfast!

which is none other than the very local hometown dish 'Medan Fried-Char Kway Tiao'!!
probably used of heavy breakfast such as: noodles, bee hoons, wonton noodle, chicken rice,etc..
in particularly this Kway Tiao from Medan has mesmerized my favorite breakfast menu!

As its located in the front corner of the market, this
'Kopitiam' (coffee stall) is more of a gathering place for Medan people in early morning at Batam! their Hokkien accent, the scent of the foods, and everything! it made me wanna go back to my parents' hometown so much!  =9 nom nom nom.

As im busy with my phone, of course my Mom was leading the way and i wasn't really paying attention to her,and the peak was until we walked pass a pastries stall and i was simply hooked up to stop by and grab a bite of my all time-since childhood favorite pastries, The Choux Pastry with a bottle of Soya Bean!! UWW -YEAH!!!!!! and by the way.....where did Mom go? well c'mon! chill lah! its not as if what happened 12 years ago?lost in the market and all the cries and wailing??  Nay!nay! i got the car keys today! LOL!

Valuing our Differences, Celebrating Diversity.

Chinese Ghost Festival ft. Ramadan

So today is the start for our Moslem friends all around the world  to begin their fasting of their Ramadhan, which is also coincidentally held together with the 2nd day of the Hungry Ghost Festival month!

Being raised in a quite fuddy duddy Chinese family, I,me, myself was kinda mazedly whirled in the this twist between fiction and tradition.

Hungry Ghost Festival and Ramadan at the same time, one hungry one fasting.....

Hungry Ghost Festival

This festival runs throughout the seventh month of the Chinese calendar. It is believed that the gates of hell open during this period and hungry ghosts are allowed to roam freely into our world. Though not a public holiday, this is the time where one can see many people perform various rites to appease the wandering ghosts, such as offering food and burning joss paper. One can also see traditional performances such as Chinese opera which are held to appease these ghosts (getai/song stage performance).

*the front blank seats were believed to be reserved for the 'spirits'*

I still remember how i almost broke my arm when i was 8 after spouting nonsenses things during these months.Parents would always remind us not to drive recklessly, stay away from going out at night, avoid coming back home late, restrain from bad words, foolish actions, avoid planning  trips and many more!

Aside from appeasing those 'hungry' spirits, it was also believed that chinese would give those offerings like fruits, joss sticks, joss papers to protect the families and loved ones from those 'wandering' spirits throughout the moths.
1st day of the HGF-15th day-and the last day of it, you'd expect to see your chinese neighbours performing religious rites along the street and valley...
